Empty Bowls
We always have something that we are working on in Art 2, but lately we've been working on helping out Parish Hill High School with their Empty Bowls project. Amanda, Cassidy, Catherine, myself and others helped to make, trim, glaze and fire over 40 bowls for the event.
"Empty Bowls is an international project to fight hunger in which community members, students and professionals collaborate to make hand made bowls. In exchange for the meal, and the bowl, guests contribute a suggested minimum donation. One hundred percent of each meal's proceeds are devoted to local hunger-fighting organizations, such as food banks or soup kitchens, or to national or international charitable groups." Volunteer opportunities
Additional service opportunities at this time include helping out with an after school art class at the Mansfield Community Center (Youth Art Class), helping out with the Mt.
